Every Mile A Story

Every Mile
A Story

Every journey leaves a story worth telling.

About the journey

I do not collect destinations.
I collect memories.

This is not a travel booking website. It is a personal journal — a slow archive of journeys, photographs, field notes, and the small details that make a place stay with you.

Portrait of the storyteller

— keeping a notebook, since 2018 —

I travel because the world is too interesting to read about second-hand. I write because a place is twice as good when you have to look at it carefully enough to put it into a sentence.

This website is the long version of a notebook I have been keeping for years — stories from journeys across continents, with photographs, itineraries, maps and reflections kept alongside the small embarrassments and unexpected kindnesses that any real trip is full of.

The aim is simple: a slow, beautiful, honest archive of somewhere I have been. So that the journeys, eventually, outlast the trip itself.

A small philosophy

“The best souvenirs are the ones you cannot pack.”

How the notebook grew

  • 2018

    A first solo trip

A weekend that turned into a way of thinking. Goa, in monsoon.

  • 2019

    The Himalaya, properly

First high-altitude trek. The mountain set a higher bar than I expected.

  • 2021

    A long pause

A year of staying home and writing about places I had already been.

  • 2023

    Across Europe

A summer of trains, a notebook a week, a quieter way to travel.

  • 2025

    Kenya & Meghalaya

Two extremes — the wide savannah and the green of monsoon hills.

  • 2026

    Switzerland

The Alpine Diary — the journey this site was built around.

From the notebook

Short pieces, field notes, and the occasional essay.

Not everything fits inside a journey page. Some thoughts live on their own, in this slowly-growing notebook.
